Balmain And H&M Collaboration

The world of fashion is ever-evolving, and there are times when two brands come together to collaborate to make the best of both worlds. One such collaboration came in to view when a luxury French fashion brand joined up with one of the most affordable fashion brands. Yes, we are talking about the BALMAIN & H&M COLLABORATION, which was no easy feat to pull. Balmain is expensive and luxurious, their products are nothing short of regal, and H&M is known for its practicality and affordable price. To design a collection that is both luxurious and affordable isn’t easy, but this collaboration was a huge success.

The collaboration was a hit because of the mixed traits it had. The products were still luxurious but were limited in their pricing. There were no compromises on the quality of the material or tailoring. Kendall Jenner and Jourdan Dunn unveiled the designs of this epic collaboration at world-famous Billboard Music Awards a few years ago.

The Collection:

The collection covered womenswear, menswear as well as accessories; it was the perfect collection and was promoted by the likes of Gigi Hadid, Kendall Jenner, Jourdan Dunn, Hao Yun Xiang, and Dudley O’Shaughnessy. The collection was made up of tuxedo jackets, monochrome jumpsuits, luxury furry coats, high-end military jackets, and luscious satin trousers. The accessories of the collection included chunky necklaces, bold cuffs, statement rings, and earrings as well as armor-like belts. Every piece crafted with fine detailing, which is the trademark of all Balmain designs. The long list of accessories also included three beautiful clutches. Yellow Rope Top:

The Yellow rope top was the most eye-catching bit of this whole outfit. It added contrast and was created as a piece that one could design a whole look around. The top was originally sold for R1500, and that’s a brilliantly affordable price. It’s been paired with the most luxurious fur coat that adds to the whole chic look perfectly.

The chunky jewelry was the highlight of the whole collaboration; every piece was designed to stand out on its own.

Red Luxury Jacket:

A red leather jacket with matching striped trousers is easy to carry the look from this collaboration. The look is complete, and you don’t need to add anything else to make it work. The jacket’s material and the colour speaks for itself, its pure fashion pleasure, and that’s what this collaboration was all about. The jacket was marked at R3730.00, and the striped trousers were for R930.00, which is a bargain if you go by Balmain’s standards.

Embellished Top:

This embellished dress is truly the reflection of Balmain’s fashion vision. The dress is beautifully decorated with gold and silver. The dark contours of the dress help your body shape appear slimmer and sexier. A wide belt at the center is a great way to break the dress and make the wearer look well balanced. This embellished dress was marked at R5600.00, again a great bargain for a luxury piece of clothing.
